Claimed that a bomb was on plane to date a female crew member

A 65-year old man reported the existence of a bomb on a Lufthansa plane with the hope of keeping a female member of the crew for a longer time in the country.

The man, a Serb national, wanted to befriend a female member of the crew whom he had accidentally met and invited her to dinner, however she refused.

Some 130 passengers were stranded at the airport when flight LF1411 from Belgrade to Frankfurt was cancelled due to the bomb threat, which in reality was an invention by the man in order to achieve his desire.

All the passengers had to wait eight hours until a search was carried out on the aircraft and everyone was assured that the threat proved negative.

The man was arrested by Serbian police after they traced his phone call.
