Coalition for Open Spaces appeal for action against illegal hunting structures in Miżieb

The coalition for Open Spaces which is made up of 60 NGOs, is calling for action to be taken against illegal hunting structures in Mizieb.

The coalition prepared a report which it submitted to the Planning Authority and the Ministry of Environment in which it listed structures used for hunting which it said were illegal.

In a statement the coalition said that this report was linked to a similar report made by BirdLife Malta in 2010, and that it showed the presence of 256 of these structures, some of which still exist.

It added that this showed that no rights should be granted for the site to be run by the same lobby that in the past had committed various illegalities in the same place.
