Comedian Zelensky will be sworn in today as President

Comedian Ukren Volodymyr Zelensky will today be sworn in as President of Ukraine, in a swearing-in ceremony which will take place in the capital, Kiev.

Zelensky, who has no political experience, was swept to power in the Presidential elections held last month.

He beat Petro Poroshenko who has been leading the country since 2014.

Zelensky has promised to address corruption and bring to an end the war with the Russian-backed rebels in the East.

It is not year clear which issues he will be bringing up in his first speech as leader.
