Conditional discharge and fine for creating disturbance

A 42-year-old Polish national has been given a conditional discharge and fined, after declaring he was sorry for having created a disturbance in a St Julians boutique hotel.

The incident occurred this morning at 2.30 a.m., when the man had had too much to drink.

The man was also charged with disturbing the peace, being drunk, drenching a Police officer with drink and insulting the officer.

The accused, who refused to be assisted by a lawyer, pleaded guilty and said he was sorry for his actions.

The man was given a conditional discharge and fined 800 euro.
