Considerable spike in COVID-19 cases around the world

The World Health Organisation has stated that yesterday there was a considerable increase in the number of reported Covid-19 cases. Over the last 24 hours, all around the world, the cases went up to almost  308,000, which means that when compared with the previous day, there was an increase of more than 5500 cases, bringing the number of infected cases around the world to over 917,000.

The largest number of infections were reported in India, the US and Brazil.

The WHO said that around the world, 28 million cases have been reported, half of them in the American continent.
