Coronavirus in China: Six employees in health sector have died and 1,700 others in the sector are infected

Chinese officials have stated that six employees in the medical health sector have died and over 1,700 other employees have contracted coronavirus since its outbreak in Wuhan in the Chinese province of Hubei. They have also deplored the lack of protective equipment.

The death of Dr Li Wenliang, who tried to signal the alarm of the dangers of the virus, has caused anger throughout China. Over 1,300 people have perished as a result of coronavirus and the number of infected victims has ballooned to almost 64,000 cases.

However, there have also been reports of persons recovering from the infection, including the recovery of a ten-month old baby.
