Coronavirus: the first case emerges in Sicily

According to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, the coronavirus has continued to spread in Italy, with two new cases emerging in Palermo and Florence.

This means that now the first case has emerged in Sicily.

According to the same newspaper the case in Sicily appears to be that of a woman from Bergamo, who is in Palermo on holiday. The case in Florence concerns a 60 year old businessman.

So far 229 people have contracted to virus in Italy, 7 of whom have died.
