Covid-19
Covid-19 can also produce gastro-intestinal symptoms

During today’s media conference on the Covid-19 situation in Malta, Professor Charmaine Gauci stated that the virus symptoms are varying.

Apart from the usual symptoms of breathlessness, headaches, pain in the throat and fever, the Superintendent of Public Health stated that Covid-19 can manifest itself also through gastro-intestinal symptoms like vomiting and diarrhoea. And persons who lose their sense of smell and taste will also be manifesting symptoms of Covid-19.

Professor Gauci added that with the passage of time, local transmissions are increasing. The Superintendent urged anyone with acute symptoms to call 111 for assistance.
