Crosses from England to France four times non-stop

Sarah Thomas is the first swimmer who has managed to make the crossing of the English Channel from England to France four times non-stop in a marathon 54 hours.

The 37-year-old American swimmer from Colorado has managed to break all existing records. She dedicated this swim to all those who have managed to overcome cancer. She herself has just been receiving treatment for breast cancer.

Sarah ended her swim at a bay close to Dover on the UK south coast, and admitted that it had been a difficult challenge.

On paper, Sarah had to swim a distance of 80 miles, but because of strong currents the distance extended to 130 miles.
