Cultural activity for audience of 300 will indicate whether attendance numbers can be increased
The first cultural activity for research purposes will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on 8 October and will follow specific protocols with minimum restrictions as laid down by the health authorities.
This is being done as part of a pilot programme with the specific aim of eventually determining the way forward for artistic, cultural and entertainment activities, built on research and analysis of information obtained during this process.
During the activity there will not be any restrictions involving social distancing and the wearing of masks will not be mandatory, whilst every person attending the event will have to undergo a PCR test up to seven days after the activity.
Registration will only be possible for persons over the age of 18 and who are in possession of a vaccination certificate.
Anyone with symptoms of illness up to three days before the activity, or who would have been abroad 14 days before the activity, will not be able to attend.
It is not recommended that vulnerable persons attend this pilot activity.
This event, which is being held for 300 persons, is being organised as a collaboration between Festivals Malta, the Malta Tourism Authority and the MEIA, with the participation of various artists including DANUSAN, Comedy Knights and BlaKondixin.
Details, including all terms and conditions, as well as the process related to registration for this event, are available on www.festivals.mt/restart.
