Culture and EU-China relations on the agenda during PN Leader’s visit

PN Leader, Simon Busuttil, currently on a visit to China, has had another two meetings: the first was with Sun Yongfu from the Department of European Affairs within the Ministry of Commerce during which they focused on the co-operation between China and the EU. The second meeting was with the Vice-Chairman of the National Congress Committee for Foreign Affairs,  Zhao Shao-hua.

During this meeting, Shao-hua praised the relations between Malta and China and said that the economic relationship between the two countries was very strong. She pointed out that in Malta there is a Chinese Cultural centre which has the support of the Maltese Government.  Dr Busuttil said that culture was the window to the history and identity of a people.
