Darren Douglas dies, 31 years after being paralysed

Last night, Darren Douglas passed away. Next month he would have been 50 years ago. Darren was bedridden for 31 years following an unfortunate accident when he jumped into a pool and broke his spinal cord.

Darren was well-known and was interviewed several times by the TVM newsroom, because he served as a great inspiration to all those who knew him.

Despite being confined to a bed, face up and unable to move, Darren remained positive and was always joking around.
