Brothers George and Alfred Degiorgio have filed a judicial protest in the First Hall of the Civil Court where they are holding the Cabinet accountable following the decision it took where it did not accede to their request for presidential pardon.
In the protest, their lawyer William Cuschieri claims that the brothers have direct evidence showing how a present minister and a former minister were involved in criminal offenses.
The Degiorgio brothers are aggrieved at the fact that no one has sent for them to talk to them about what they are willing to reveal.
They asked the President of the Republic not to adhere to the decision of the Cabinet and warned that if the same decision is not changed they are ready to sue.
The Degiorgio brothers stand accused of the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia which took place on 16 October 2017.
