Denies accepting financing from Russia… not even a bottle of vodka!

An inquiry has been opened in an Italian Court regarding alleged bribery and corruption by the Lega Nord Party at international level.

The Lega Nord Party of Home Affairs Minister Matteo Salvini is being investigated on allegations it accepted financing from the Russian Government before the last elections.

Matteo Salvini declared in a statement that he had not taken anything from the Russian Government, not even a bottle of vodka, let alone financing.

Meanwhile, the American Buzzfeed site published the transcript of a secret telephone call between a representative of Salvini, who is heard negotiating with Russian parties involved in the oil business, in order to reach agreement for party financing.
