Deportation after slightly injuring Police officer when drunk

Oleksii Hashkov, a Polish national living in Gzira, has admitted to being drunk in public in St Julians on the morning of Santa Marija, threatening two Police officers and slightly injuring one of them.

Accused also admitted to consuming alcohol in a public place where consumption of alcohol in glass containers is not permitted.

The Court handed down a two-year prison sentence suspended for three years as well as an 800 euro fine which has to be settled within six months, and ordered that accused be deported.
