The Conservative Party’s Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, Sir David Amess, has died after being stabbed to death by a constituent in the Belfairs Methodist Church at Essex.
Police arrested the suspect who appears to have acted alone in this homicide.
Sir Amess was aged 69 and had been an MP since 1983. He was a father of five children.
His murder recalled the murder of the British Labour Party’s MP Jo Cox who was killed on 16th June, 2016, after being stabbed and shot dead.
