Donald Tusk in Turkey for talks on migration crisis

The European Council President, Donald Tusk is today expected to hold talks with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a bid to strengthen relations between the European Union and Turkey on the migration crisis. Donald Tusk is proposing that migrants who arrive in Greece from Turkey are sent back.

During a visit to Greece and Turkey with the aim of reaching an agreement to reduce the migrants’ influx who are traveling towards Europe, Donald Tusk said that illegal economic migrants are risking their lives and money for nothing.

Next Monday, EU and Turkey leaders are expected to meet for a summit on migration.
