The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health is informing the public that Grissing breadsticks with sesame seeds, linseed and poppy seeds should not be consumed because of the possibility that the sesame seeds used in the product may be contaminated with pesticide (Ethylene oxide).
It has been found in recent months that the chemical ethylene oxide could have been used to control some germs in the sesame seeds exported from India. However, the use of ethylene oxide is not approved.
