Driver of double decker bus involved in Zurrieq fatality has been indicated – Directors cleared of all charges

The Court has found enough evidence for Charles D’Amato, 27, to be indicted on the charges brought against him.

D’Amato was the driver of the double decker bus which was involved in a fatal accident three years ago in Zurrieq in which two tourists died and more than 30 the passengers were injured while on board the bus when it hit a tree.

Magistrate Joe Mifsud also ruled that there were not enough reasons for Lee Anne Borg, Kim Degabriele, Noel Degabriele and Philip Degabriele to be indicted, and cleared them of all charges.

These four people are the directors of the company City Sightseeing Malta which owned the double decker bus involved in the fatal accident.
