During 2020, €28 million were directed to the social fund from the citizenship program
Since its establishment, the National Social and Development Fund issued over €109 million for social projects, including social accommodation, health and other sporting initiatives. This fund receives money from the citizenship investment program.
The fund’s account for last year shows that €28 million were directed to the fund, bringing the total amount of money directed in the fund to almost €600 million since its inception six years ago. Last year, when the pandemic emerged, the fund made a profit of almost €60,000.
The report also shows that the value of the fund’s total assets increased by almost 5% from just over €570 million to over €598 million. These include foreign and local investments.
