€3.7 m agreement which will allow Wens Foundation to offer services to persons with disability
An agreement of € 3.7 million was signed this morning where for the next three years, the Support Agency will be helping the Wens Foundation continue to offer services to residents with disabilities living in its three homes.
The Minister for Inclusion and Quality of Life, Julia Farrugia Portelli, said that this agreement, which covers the years 2021 to 2024, is half a million euros more than the previous agreement that was signed in 2018.
The Wens Foundation has three homes, and houses 42 persons with disabilities. The general director of the Wens Foundation, Ronald Galea, said that without this agreement with the Government, the foundation would have found it difficult to continue to provide quality of life and services to these people with disabilities.
The Wens Foundation has been set up for 31 years. Mr Galea said the foundation is aiming to open another home to offer independent living for people with disabilities.
