€920,000 raised for the opening of second Dar Bjorn

The dream of Bjorn Formosa and his wife Maria of opening another residence for ALS patients and other persons with similar conditions has made a great step forward of being realised following Friday evening’s fund-raising marathon on Xarabank programme.

The sum of €921,856 was raised by the end of the programme – the funds will go towards the opening of a bigger home from the existing one.

Dar Bjorn accommodates patients with ALS, MS and other neurological conditions, however there are other persons on the waiting list to be accommodated in this home because of lack of space.
