England removes quarantine for fully vaccinated travellers from EU and US
As from Monday those who have been fully vaccinated in some EU member states or the US who arrive in England from a country which is on the Amber list will no longer need to quarantine. The Government said that this change in the rules will help families and friends re-unite more easily with their loved ones who live abroad.
Meanwhile, the British Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dominic Raab warned that at the current vaccination rate, the world’s population will not be vaccinated against Covid-19 before 2024. He appealed to other countries to join forces with the UK in donating vaccines to poor countries.
Minister Raab expressed his belief that the UK has the moral obligation to promote these efforts for the most impoverished, vulnerable countries to have access to the doses they need to vaccinate their populations.
