No one was injured today when a section of a garage was engulfed in flames. The assistance of the Civil Protection department was requested at around 5.30pm as black smoke was noticed coming out of the garage in Triq Misraħ il-Barrieri in Santa Venera.

The road in question was closed to traffic as three fire-engines arrived on site with firefighters entering the garage where they found a water dispenser on fire. The firemen controlled the fire, while the dispenser was taken out of the garage.

District police officers also arrived on the accident’s site.
