In Israel: Parliament dissolved after Netanyahu fails to put together a Coalition Government

In Israel, Members of Parliament voted for Parliament to be dissolved after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s failure to form a Coalition Government.

The vote has led to the necessity of a new General Election that will be held on 17th September. Netanyahu failed to put together a right wing coalition following last month’s General Election. This is the first time in Israel’s political history that a Prime Minister has failed to form a Coalition Government.
