Football: Malta beats Faroe Islands 2-1

Malta had a perfect start at the Euro 2020 qualification phase with a 2-1 win over Faroe Islands at the National Stadium, Ta’ Qali, on Saturday evening.

The national team’s goals came from Kyrian Nwokp and a penalty by Steve Borg. The goals were scored in each half.

Faroe Islands scored seven minutes in extra time, and earlier they missed a penalty, while Malta ended up playing with 10 men.
