Football player wins Euromillions

Kevin O’Connor, a Preston North End defender, has started the New Year on the right note after winning one million euro.

O’Connor was given a Euromillions lottery ticket by his uncle as a Christmas present. The player realised he had won a prize after his mother heard the winner was someone from their country, Ireland

Despite his win, O’Connor will still continue to focus on his football career, and will return to Deepdale for the FA Cup fixture against Wycombe, scheduled for this coming weekend.
