Former leader of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, dies

The former leader of  Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe, has died at the age of’ 95.

He died after a long illness. Mugabe had been removed from power after a coup d’etat in November 2017 after he had been leading the country for over 30 years.

He had even gone to jail for more than ten years when he had criticised the Government of what was then known as Rhodesia, in 1964.

In 1973, while he was still in jail, he was chosen to be the President of the African Union of Zimbabwe which he had set up himself.
