France recognises work of health workers with a wage increase

France has recognised the work of doctors, nurses and other health care workers during the Covid-19 move with a substantial wage increase. The agreement signed in recent hours with the unions representing workers, is worth eight billion euros.

Through it the average salary of workers in the health sector will increase by € 183 per month.

The agreement was announced today as France commemorates Bastille Day – France’s National Day.
