The kitchen has become the most sought after place during a pandemic that has left many around the world with more time to stay home. While the restaurants remained closed many tried their hands at cooking.
In France, home cheese sales increased by 8% during the year with many looking to cook more cheese recipes with Mozzarella being the most purchased type of cheese.
On the other hand, the pandemic dealt a blow to other products. For example, champagne has taken a hit with declining sales – with the natural explanation for this being the closure of restaurants which has also led to a reduction in overall beverage sales.
