Free transport for Assistant Electoral Commissioners

The Electoral Commission has declared in a statement that by arrangement with Transport Malta, a free transport service will be available earlier than normal on Saturday 25 May.

This is being done in order to facilitate transport for Assistant Electoral Commissioners, to enable them to get to the voting places assigned to them at 6.00 a.m.

All scheduled routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 13, 14, 16, 21, 22, 24, 31, 35, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 51, 52, 53, 54, 58, 61, 62, 63, 71, 72, 73, 81, 82, 83, 84, 88, 91, 92, 93, 94 u 122 will depart from outstations at 5.00 am. The same routes will depart from Valletta at 5.30 a.m.

This transport service is being provided at no charge as long as the Identity Tag issued by the Electoral Commission is shown.

Following deposit of voting boxes and other election material at the Naxxar Counting Hall Complex, after 10.00 p.m. Assistant Electoral Commissioners will have transport provided, at no charge, through minibuses to all localities in Malta.
