Georgia’s airlines flights to Russia banned

Russian President Vladimir Putin temporarily banned Georgia’s airlines from flying to Russia as tensions escalated between the two countries.

In recent days, some 240 persons were injured during protests in Georgia following the presence of a Russian parliamentary member in the country’s Parliament, which raised anger among demonstrators.

President Putin also signed the flights suspension decree to Georgia by Russian airlines from the 8th July.
