Germany: Nurse convicted of killing 85 people

In Germany, a nurse was convicted of killing 85 people who were his patients in two hospitals where he worked.

Judge Sebastian Buehrmann described the acts carried out by nurse Niels Hogel as unbelievable. The nurse is currently serving a life sentence after having killed two people by injecting them with high doses of medicine between 1999 and 2005.

According to reports, Hogel is known as the murderer whose actions were most premeditated in Germany’s recent history. Although Hogel has apologized to the family of his victims he will be remembered for the way he treated patients who were going to die.
