Golden Bay selected as one of 20 European bays for visitors in May

UK’s Telegraph newspaper selected Għajn Tuffieħa bay as one of twenty European bays that visitors should go to in May due to the bay’s beauty, particularly when it is not crowded with people. Thearticle in the Telegraph says that this year in May certain bays will be ideal for those who want to escape the hectic daily life, pointing to Golden Bay has one of these ideal bays.

Golden Bay in Għajn Tuffieħa was selected in 18th place in the list that included bays in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Ibiza and Majorca, among others.

Referring to Għajn Tuffieħa bay, The Telegraph said that the bay is situated in the Northwest of the island and away from the principal tourist areas of St Julian’s and Sliema, it was described as a gem in the islands. It also reported that the bay is accessible by stairs and is in the vicinity of a 17th century surveillance tower.
