Government investigations against President Zuma intensify

In South Africa, investigations have intensified on corruption allegations against President Jacob Zuma who is facing pressure from inside his own party to resign as head of state.

Two persons have been arrested during a raid on the property of influential and economically powerful Gupta family, who are suspected of having links with the President.

Members of the Gupta family are being accused of using their friendship with President Zuma for their personal gain. Both Jacob Zuma and the family denied the allegations.
