Government to invest €6 million in sports sector which has great potential in our country – PM

During a political activity in Mellieha last night, the PM Joseph Muscat spoke about the National Sport Strategy which was launched yesterday.

He said that he believes there is great potential in this sector and that is why the Government was investing a further  €6 million which will go directly to athletes.

Prime Minister Muscat also said that one out of every €3 being invested by the Government is going towards the social sectors.

Dr Muscat urged all those who have not yet collected their vote to do so, even if they are not convinced whether they should vote or note, as they have until Saturday to think it over.

The PM said that he has no qualms in saying that these elections are a way to pass judgement on this Government and that the Opposition leader does not like it when he says that Saturday’s elections are a choice between Joseph Muscat and Adrian Delia, but that is the truth.

He said that we are in the middle of the second legislature and this will be the first time that the Opposition Leader is facing a national election.
