Gozo Diocese issues statement after two priests are accused of raping a boy

In the light of the reports in the local media, the Gozo Diocese said that it extends its solidarity with all those who are suffering.

In a statement the diocese said that while it is waiting for justice to take its course in order for the truth to come out,  the Court reiterates its willingness and full commitment so that no one is a victim of physical, decimal or moral abuse.

It also urged those who have suffered abuse to report to the Police and if the abuse was carried out by someone connected to the Church, they should also contact the Safeguarding Commission of the two dioceses on [email protected]  Out of respect for the truth, Church said that it would like to remind the public that no one should be considered guilty before there is a definitive judgement issued by the Court.
