Grand Fair opens with more than 200 exhibitors

The sixth edition of the Grand Fair at Montecristo Estates has just opened with more than 200 participants who are exhibiting their products and services. The Fair has an average of 100,000 visitors per year.

During the inauguration of the Fair, Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi said that over the years, the Fair has managed to obtain an impeccable reputation for its varied choice of quality products and services at competitive prices.

Dr. Mizzi said that the Fair has become synonymous with a calendar of events which offer a recreational and enjoyable venue for the summer season with an opportunity for families and friends to enjoy the unique atmosphere at Montecristo Estates.

He said that the Government is committed to continue working to increase investment in the conference sector with a plan to set up a conference centre which is equipped to cater for large scale events of different genres.

President George Vella pointed out how the environment offers families the chance to enjoy themselves while offering opportunities for businessmen and tradesman to increase their business. He appealed for everyone to help vulnerable people and sectors in Maltese society and called for unity among the Maltese to show solidarity with those who require help, irrespective of whether it is financial or any other form of assistance.
