Group of immigrants leave Malta for France

A group of immigrants left Malta for France.

The immigrants were brought to Malta by the Armed Forces on the 7th July and 4th August after being rescued by the Alan Kurdi vessel.

The immigrants were assisted by local authorities, the International Migration Organisation and officers of the French embassy in Malta.

The relocation process was carried out following an ad hoc agreement between the European Commission, Malta and other EU states.
