19-year-old youth admits to theft from his mother-in-law

Dion Lia, who is 19 years old, was granted conditional release from arrest while waiting to be sentenced after being arraigned in Court on the charge of having carried out a theft from his mother-in-law.

Appearing before Magistrate Grazio Mercieca he was accused of aggravated theft, voluntary damages and of having been a repeat offender. On 18th April the youth was charged with having carried out the theft of several objects from his mother-in-law’s residence in Birkirkara.

Lija admitted the charges and is expected to be sentenced on Monday.
