Construction worker accused of theft of windows and doors

A construction worker is being accused of the theft of 50 aluminium windows and six doors.

This happened two days ago in San Ġwann and resulted in 28-year-old Joseph Galea being placed under arrest. He has denied the accusations.

His Defence Counsel said Galea, a repeat offender, found himself in financial difficulties and could not pay for the maintenance of his children.

Court granted him bail but ordered him to keep away from the site where the theft is alleged to have taken place.
