Hair salon in India ordered to pay €231,000 after cutting model’s hair badly

A Consumer Court in India has ordered a hair salon to pay 231,000 euro to a model after failing to follow her instructions and cutting her hair too short.

The woman, who had very long hair and whose work involved advertising for companies manufacturing hair products, complained that this mistake had caused her huge losses.

The woman said that as a result of the botched haircut she had suffered major financial losses and her dream of making a career in modelling had been shattered. She added that she went through a major trauma, and had even lost her job.
The case goes back to 2018. Following her complaint, the salon had offered her free treatment for her hair, but according to the woman, this treatment had resulted in even more damage,
