Heart medication reduced by €47 from today

Medication for cardiovascular problems has been reduced by nearly 47 euro and is one of the medicines with price reductions announced today.

Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo, who has responsibility for the Medicines Authority, announced that the Government has drastically reduced four types of medicines.

The medicine with the biggest price reduction is Procoralan, which is used for heart problems and which has been reduced by 46.60 euro.

Reductions have also been made on medicines for stroke, schizophrenia and hypertension, with reductions ranging between two euro and 27 euro.
