The latest developments in science and medicine have shown that a specifically modified HIV virus is being use for curing children suffering from immunodeficiency disease, as they are not strong enough to fight the disease.
American scientists said that with the new therapy, eight children suffering from the serious disease were cured.
Results of the study were published in the New England Journal of Medicine after, following the application of this therapy, these children are today living a normal life.
Before this therapy was discovered, children suffering from the condition were kept in a sterile environment, away from people and eventually died at a young age.
During the therapy, doctors extract the babies marrow and correct their genetic defect through the HIV virus, which is specifically modified to carry the needed genetic. The virus is curing babies and assists them to develop a better immune system.
