Over the last four years, 1,063 vehicles from Malta and Gozo have been reported stolen. This information was given in Parliament by Minister Michael Farrugia in reply to a PQ by MP Chris Said.
It also emerged that 545 cars, which amount to more than half the cars stolen between 2015 and September 2018 were found, while a total of 518 vehicles have not been found.
The year in which the greatest number of cars were stolen was in 2017, with a total of 334 cars. It also results that the cars stolen on Gozo have almost all been found.
