Today’s UMANI programme will feature the story of Vanessa Cassar, who was born with the ‘cerebral palsy’ condition which makes her use crutches to walk.
Nothing has stopped Vanessa from moving on – she studied, worked in prestigious places, is a mother and today forms part of the National Commission team for the rights of persons with disability.
Her best friend is Christine Mifsud, who is visually impaired and is a colleague at work.
Vanessa is courageous, says that her disability made her stronger and faces all challenges, even to upbring her daughter well and provides her with everything for a good life.
UMANI is transmitted today at 4.30pm on TVM – produced and presented by journalist Maria Muscat and directed by Godfrey Smith.
