Gozo’s Cittadella Visitors’ Centre receives prestigious award

The Visitors’ Centre at The Cittadella in Gozo has been recognised with a prestigious award, the ‘Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement’, the highest honour in the themed entertainment sphere which is awarded by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).

The award was presented during this year’s edition of the Association’s Awards Gala held at the Disneyland Hotel in California.

It recognises a level of excellence of a project that yields an unique experience and in particular more specifically those who manage and operate the experience as well as the individual or entities that designed and produced the attraction.

Other attractions awarded in this Gala Edition included ‘Pandora – The World of Avatar’ in Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, ‘Journey of Lights Parade’ at Chime Along Ocean Kingdom, ‘Jameson Distillery James St’ in Dublin and ‘Dreamworks Animation Zone’ at Motiongate in Dubai.

TEA introduced the Thea Awards in 1994 so as to recognise accomplishments, talents and skills in themed entertainment. Nowadays the Thea Award is widely recognised as a symbol of excellence.
