A new study is stating that chocolate plays an important part in human health.
According to researches those that consume chocolate at least three times a month reduce the risk of heart disease by 13% when compared to those who eat no chocolate at all.
The research was presented during a conference of the European Society of Cardiology.
Scientists from the Icahn School of Medicine in Mount Sinai, in New York, looked at five studies that covered 575,000 participants and concluded that natural ingredients found in chocolate are a health benefit.
However, this consumption should not lead to chocolate gluttony because volumes of consumption can lead to other conditions because of the high sugar content.
The experts recommended limited amounts of dark chocolate and not to add lots of sugar to chocolate drinks.
Those already suffering heart conditions are recommended to avoid chocolate.
