If you sing in Maltese, now is the chance to show your talent – applications close on 1 July
Another edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu, the 44th one, is just around the corner. Once again, this festival is expected to offer a wide selection of original songs in Maltese. This is just the right time to give the recognition which compositions in Maltese deserve and to produce a show which will delight the public.
The festival is being organised by the committee responsible for l-Għanja tal-Poplu with the help of the Maltese Arts Council and the Valletta Cultural Agency. The organisers are encouraging all those singers who sing in Maltese to come forward and show their talents on stage.
L-Għanja tal-Poplu is organised on three stages. First a number of songs are shortlisted, then the songs which make it to the finals are heard and the winner is then expected to be announced at the end of September. The show featuring all the finalists will be transmitted on TVM.
Meanwhile those interested have one week left to apply online as submissions will be accepted only up to Wednesday 1 July.
