Fire in Sliema shop brought under control

Civil Protection employees were called out this evening to assist in controlling a fire in a shop at Tower Road in Sliema at about 6 pm.

The fire seems to have been caused by an electricity main. The situation was soon brought under control and no injuries were reported.

Police were also on hand to assist.
